COOLER MARSTER LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY

COOLER MASTER warrants all (non-networking) products purchased from COOLER MASTER as free from defects in material and workmanship for normal use by the original purchaser for warranty period.

The Cooler Master Warranty would like to assure all the users of Cooler Master Products to be free from defects resulted from faulty manufacturing or faulty components under the following terms and conditions:

COOLER MASTER is not responsible for the damage or loss of any programs/data, on removable storage media. Customers are responsible for backing up programs or data in need on removable storage media.

Except for the warranties set forth herein, COOLER MASTER disclaims all other warranties, expressed or implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Any implied warranties that may be imposed by applicable law are limited to the terms of this limited warranty. In no event shall COOLER MASTER be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, data or use, whether in an action in contract or tort or based on a warranty, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the product, even if COOLER MASTER has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Customers should agree on repair, replacement or refund, as applicable, under the warranty services described herein is customer’s sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any breach of the COOLER MASTER limited warranty set forth herein. Despite the foregoing limitations, for any reason COOLER MASTER becomes liable to customers for damages incurred by customers in connection with this agreement. Then, the liability of COOLER MASTER will be limited to the amount equal to the latest distributor’s price.

Some states or provinces/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages for consumer products, and some states or provinces/jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts.

In such states or provinces/jurisdictions, the exclusions or limitations of this limited warranty may not be applicable.

This limited warranty gives customers specific legal rights.

Customers may also have other rights that vary from state to state/jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Customers are advised to consult applicable state and provincial/local laws.

1. Warranty Length

All products from Cooler Master at least carry 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. The exact warranty term of the products is available in each product lines and models below. . For the likely condition no proof of purchase can be shared upon request, Cooler Master has the right to decline the warranty service.

2. Who Is Protected

The original customer purchasing the Cooler Master Product is covered under the Cooler Master Warranty Program.

3. What Is and Is Not Covered

It is important to note that our warranty is not an unconditional guarantee for the duration of the Program. Any replaced parts are the property of Cooler Master. The Program does not apply to the software component of a product or a product which has been damaged due to accident, misuse, abuse, improper installation, usage not in accordance with product specifications and instructions, natural or personal disaster, or unauthorized alterations, repairs or modifications.

The Program does not cover any events such as below:

  • Any damages unrelated to manufacturing defects.

  • Any unsuitable environment or use of the product in Cooler Master Opinion. (including cryptocurrency mining)

  • Any product which has been modified without official permission from Cooler Master, or on which the serial number or warranty sticker has been defaced, modified, or removed.

Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:

  • Accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, commercial or industrial use, unauthorized product modification or failure to follow instructions included with the product.

  • Third party products using Cooler Master Components will not be covered by warranty. Please check the vendor or the manufacturer for information about after-sales service.

  • Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Cooler Master, Inc.

  • Any shipment damages (claims must be made with the carrier).

  • Unauthorized repairs to a Cooler Master product will void the warranty offered by the Program. Cooler Master reserves the right to decline the service for products that has been altered, modified or repaired by non- Cooler Master Service personnel.

  • Cooler Master does not warrant this product will meet customer’s requirements. It is customer’s responsibility to determine the suitability of this product for the purpose.

  • Removal or installation charges.

  • Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping product to Cooler Master. Cooler Master covers the shipping cost of the returning to customer.

  • Cooler Master reserves the right to replace the product with a service product at their sole discretion at any time.

  • Product malfunction or damage resulting from liquids or moisture.

  • Accessories, including but not limited to USB cables, extension cables, adapter cables, adapters, power cords, screws, retention brackets, and ear cups, malfunction due to physical damage.

  • Wear and tear due to the aging of materials.

4. Local Law and Customer Warranty

This warranty gives customer specific legal rights. Customer may also possess the rights granted under local law. These rights may vary.

5. Limitations of Implied Warranties

There is no other oral or written warranty, expressed or implied, including but not limited to those of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The duration of implied warranties is limited to the warranty length specified in Paragraph one.

6. To Obtain Technical Support

For the likely required support of installation or troubleshooting, please submit a technical support request.

7. Exclusion of Damages (Disclaimer)

Cooler Master's sole obligation and liability under this Program is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective product at our option. Cooler Master shall not, in any event, be liable to the purchaser or any third party for any incidental or consequential damage, including but not limited to damages resulting from interruption of service and loss of business, or liability in tort relating to this product or resulting from its use or possession.

8. For Warranty Service

Global warranty is not currently available.

Please notice completed accessories and box may be required for RMA or DOA product and be sure to ship them with RMA or DOA product delivery. Any lack of the accessories or box may influence your right of the warranty service application.

In North America

If product needs repair or defects within the first 30 days after purchase, please return it to the merchant where the product is purchased product issue description and a copy of the proof of purchase with the defective product. All replacement products have an extended 30 days of warranty after the item has been received by the customer. For any extended warranty services covered under the Program, please log onto our website to complete the RMA request form online. The request form will allow customers to request for replacement parts. For questions regarding the RMA process, please submit a technical support ticket on-line. When returning product, please be sure to enclose a clear description of the product issue and the proof of purchase with the defective product and return it as instructed by the Cooler Master Customer Service Team. Be sure to package the product securely (preferably in its original packaging) and ship it postpaid. The dealer or Cooler Master will not be responsible for damage caused during the transportation. During the warranty period, the product will be repaired or replaced without charge, excluding cost induced by shipping and handling.

In Europe

Within the first 2 years after purchase, please return the product (or for power supplies installed within our enclosures, just the failed power supply) to your dealer or reseller for a replacement. If the product is still within warranty but cannot be returned to the dealer, please contact Cooler Master Customer Service Team for assistance or instructions. Cooler Master does not accept returns without prior approval as well as an RMA number.

When returning product, please be sure to enclose a clear description of the product issue and the proof of purchase with the defective product and return it as instructed by Cooler Master. Be sure to package the product securely (preferably in its original packaging) and ship it postpaid. The dealer or Cooler Master will not be responsible for damage caused during the transportation. During the warranty period, your product will be repaired or replaced without charge, excluding cost induced by shipping and handling.

In APAC/MEA

Cooler Master provides regional warranties to applicable countries on all products sold within official retail channels. This warranty is only valid and applicable to official products and in countries where the products have been officially released and are licensed by Cooler Master for sale and purchase. Warranties are not transferable and will become void for products purchased from one region and transported to a different region.

Outside North America, Europe and APAC/MEA

If your product needs to be returned within the warranty period, please do so through the retailer or distributor from whom the product was purchased.

If the product is found to be defective in the first 7 days of purchase, please prepare the invoice or receipt (with all cartons and accessories) for a new replacement of the same model or models with the similar or higher specifications.

* The product must be in full packaging & without physical damage. If the product has no defect found, Cooler Master reserves the right to return the original unit to end-user.

How to clean the gaming desks and gaming chairs?
1. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt on the surface.
2. Use a damp cloth to wipe the surface of the gaming desk and chair.

How to clean the Caliber R2C and Caliber X1C?
Normally, using a damp cloth to wipe the surface will suffice; however, if it still visibly dirty, please try the following steps:
1. Try adding a little bit of detergent with some water to clean the area.
2. Use a soft brush to lightly brush the area.
3. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
4. Finally, use a hair dryer to accelerate the drying process.
5. If the visible blemish is still not completely cleaned, please repeat Step 1 to 4.

  • Abnormal line/Overlapping images (Always set the PC display to the native resolution of the monitor if it's the first time of connecting the monitor with the PC)

  • Dead pixels on the panel (please refer to the Acceptance Standards for Dead Pixels below)

  • Unable to switch on the monitor by power button

  • Control buttons are not working

  • Power leak and safety concerns

Descriptions of Dead Pixel Warranty:

1. Dead Pixel Definition: Pixels that light up abnormally on a full black background are bright dots, and pixels that light up abnormally on other color background are dark dots.

  • Bright Dots: Dots appear bright and unchanged on screen, the module of which is displaying under BLACK pattern

  • Dark Dots: Dots appear dark and unchanged on screen, the module of which is displaying under pure red, green, or blue pattern

2. To identify dead pixels, the monitor shall be viewed under normal operating conditions, preferably in its native resolution, and from a normal viewing distance of at least 50cm (16 in.)

 

Acceptance Standards for Dead Pixel Warranty:

Under these conditions above, the monitor will qualify for warranty if one of the following conditions are met in the warranty period:

  • a total of over 5 dead pixels (of whatever type), or

  • over 2 bright non-performing pixels, or

  • over 5 dark non-performing pixels

  • 2 non-performing pixels of any type located more than 15 mm from each other.

Cooler Master System Product (the “System”)

Cooler Master warrants the replacement or repair of the System that is defective in material or workmanship for up to one (1) year from the date of original purchase, unless otherwise specified on special items.

This limited warranty covers only the original software and original hardware that was installed in the System by Cooler Master. This limited warranty does not cover the availability, retention or loss of data stored on any storage medium on the System. Cooler Master will format and/or replace storage devices that may or may not contain customer’s data, as necessary, in order to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. Customers are encouraged to back up the private data regularly.

This limited warranty applies only to the System purchased from an authorized online retailer in the United States. If the Systems is returned by customer in compliance with this limited warranty and within the applicable warranty period, Cooler Master will, at its choice, repair or replace the System with a new, reconditioned or refurbished system of equal or greater capacity, or another equivalent system; or refund the current market value of the System at the time the warranty claim is made to customer (if Cooler Master is unable to repair or replace the Systems).

For a period of ninety (90) days after repair services are performed, Cooler Master warrants that the services provided were performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. If the issue recurs within the 90-day service warranty period, Cooler Master will, at its option:

  • re-perform the services, replace the System or part or peripheral pursuant to the warranty terms herein; or

  • permit customer to return the System or part or peripheral and issue a refund pursuant to the warranty terms herein.

Note:

If you purchased an extended service plan from Cooler Master or a third party, please refer to the extended service plan for coverage, duration and terms of service.

 

RMA (Return Materials Authorization) Policies and Procedures

Customer shall call within the applicable warranty period. If repairs or replacement are required, Customer must obtain a RMA number and provide proof of purchase. Should the warranty be approved and verified, Cooler Master will issue a RMA number, which is valid for ten (10) days. The RMA number must appear clearly and legibly on the exterior of every package sent to Cooler Master. Any product returned to Cooler Master does not carry a valid RMA number visible on the outside of the package will be refused. The Systems and/or parts and peripherals received for RMA after the expiration of the RMA number will be assessed a $100 service and handling charge. For desktop repairs, send only the parts to Cooler Master per the instruction from the Cooler Master Customer Care agent. Unless instructed otherwise, do not send power cords, keyboard, mouse, software or accessories. Please notice repair service demands that are received but missing any of items requested by the Cooler Master Customer Care agent will be rejected. Cooler Master will not pay additional shipping charges incurred for shipping missing items.

Before sending the Systems to Cooler Master for repair, customer must delete confidential, proprietary, or personal information from the internal storage drivers and remove any removable media such as disks or memory cards. Cooler Master will format and/or replace storage devices that may or may not contain customer’s data, as necessary, in order to fulfill the obligations of this Program.

At its sole discretion, Cooler Master may accept or deny the claim for return, exchange, or damages. All Products returned must be securely packed and delivered to Cooler Master in an undamaged condition. All handling charges are non-refundable. Cooler Master may refuse or reject returned merchandise for failure to follow the conditions set forth herein.

In the event that customer’s product is returned to Cooler Master for repair or replacement, should no defect in materials or workmanship is found, customers will be charged a non-refundable $100 diagnostic fee, and will be required to pay for return shipping.
